Jemimah  Rodrigues Powers Made India Win Over Sri Lanka by 5 Wickets


Indian Women’s won the third T20 International Against Sri Lanka by five wickets in  Colombo on Saturday. Jemimah Rodrigues was in a good form and she continued that form with the bat, scoring a blasting 40 runs out of 57 balls.

In this five-match series, India took an ahead 2-0 lead including this win after the second encounter was washed out by rain.


Women’s choose to field first, India did not allow the Lankan’s to cross 131 runs for 8.

The chief contributor of Sri Lanka was Shashikala Siriwardene (35) and Nilakshi De Silva (31) being the chief contributors.


Very comfortable India chased down the target in 18.2 overs.


Rookie Arundhati Reddy Kept Things Tight


Indian rookie Arundhati Reddy the medium pacer kept things very tight for the Sri Lankan’s, where she took 2 wickets for 19 runs in four overs. Skipper Harman Preet Kaur also took two wickets in the last overs.


Jemimah Rodrigues was Furious in the Second Inning


In reply to the Lankan’s Women Rodrigues welcome the chase with six fours and two huge sixes scoring 53 runs for the fourth wickets partnership with Harmanpreet Kaur (24).


The other two sixes came from Udeshika Prabodhani and other off Sreepali Weerakoddy.


Chamari Atapattu Dismissed both Rodrigues and Harmanpreet in the same over.


Later on, Veda Krishnamurthy and Anuja Patel completed the chase without much difficulties, where they have scored 11 and 8 runs respectively.

Patil hit the last boundary off Prabodhani, to get their second win in the series.


The Indian women’s team has roared in this game.
