Rishabh Pant Replaces Injured Shreyas Iyer As a Captain for Delhi Capitals [IPL 2021]

The Team management has announced today that The Wicket-Keeper Batsmen Rishabh Pant Replaces Injured Shreyas Iyer As a Captain for Delhi Capitals in IPL 2021.

DC Skipper Shreyas Iyer has been ruled out because of injury. Iyer got injured during the ODI series against England.

Shreyas Iyer’s absence will be a big blow to the team but it could be a great opportunity for the 23 years old wicket-keeper batsmen. He has a chance to win an IPL and make a record in the IPL history.

Pant can be the youngest Captain to lift IPL Title if he manages to win the IPL 2021. Rohit Sharma is currently holding the record of youngest captain to win the Indian Premier League Cup.

The Hitman Sharma was 26 Years and 27 Days Old when he lifted the IPL Trophy very first time.

Rishabh Pant can break his Indian teammate record if he manages to lead his team Delhi Capital to the top and win the IPL 2021 title.

Rishabh Pant is 23 years old and he will debut as a Captain this season. He is a fearless cricketer and IPL 2021 will play an important role in his career.

The newly appointed Delhi Capitals Skipper had debuted in IPL in the Year 2016. He scored 198 runs in IPL 2016 in his 10 innings. In the year 2017, Pant scored 366 runs in 14 innings. He scored 684 runs in the 2018 Edition. 128* was his highest score in 2018.

In IPL 2019 Edition he scored 488 runs in 16 innings. 78* was his hight score that season. He scored 343 runs in 14 innings in the last season of IPL.

Now the question is can Pant take the Captaincy pressure? Can he perform the same as he did in the last seasons? Can he play his natural cricket? Will he be the same player or we will see more maturity in him.
