Sehwag says don’t play Asia Cup

After the schedule is out here is what Virendra Sehwag has said,

I am really shocked with the Schedule of Asia Cup, who plays one-day International match back to back.

India’s last T20 match with England had two days gap and here in this freaking hot Dubai weather and that too without break. So, I don’t find this is a correct Scheduling. Sehwag told to India TV.

Further, Sehwag Added “ Don’t play this cup, why there is such a hue and cry for playing Asia Cup. We should prepare the team for home series or for away series.

I see it really difficult to play one after one game.

BCCI should have rescheduled the Asia Cup match against the qualifier, which is on 18th September. Players need time to take rest and attain a full fitness after playing a match.

There shouldn’t be any back to back matches. Rather than reducing the four-day practice test series to three days with Essex, BCCi should have to cancel the Asia Cup qualifier games.

The player’s field for 3.5 hours and bat for 2 hours which makes the total time spent on the ground is 5.5 hours and it takes minimum 24 to 48 hours for a player to be fully fit for the next game.

It Will Give Advantage to Pakistan

Virendra Sehwag said playing back to back matches will make Indian players tired and which will give advantages to the Pakistan team.

He further added. “ The match is going to be in Dubai and in the month of September, which will be the freaking hot month, and there will be too much heat and it will harm players recovery process.

Indian players will be tired whereas Pakistan players will be in good condition.

Bangladesh &  Sri Lanka Will Open the Game

Bangladesh and Sri Lanka are going to play the first match on 15th of September. The Final match will be played on 28th September Dubai.

The match will be played in 50 overs ODI format as in 2019 World Cup is approaching. Last time Asia cup was played in the T20 format as T20 World Cup was near.
