World T20 Africa B Qualifier

On Saturday The world T20 Africa B Qualifier has ended, in Kigali, Rwanda, after a week of excellent cricket and Hospitality.

 

The Hospitality and the organization was first class from the Rwanda Cricket Association, by showing their wonderful new venue, the Gahanga Cricket Stadium. Overall, the week in Rwanda will be fondly remembered by all those who have participated.

It was a fantastic match, Kenya lived up to their billing, who was the pre-tournament favourite. And they qualify for the Africa finals with a spare game. In a very fine style Uganda Bravely chased down a testing total and their perfect record was spoiled on the final day.

 

Kenya’s Collins Obuya shows off his all-around abilities and Dinesh Nakrani featuring strongly for his country. As there was the host of excellent performance by the individuals.

 

Shem Ngoche was performing well and been regular wicket taker but finally, a man of the tournament awards went to Riazat Ali Shah of Uganda.

 

Over the week he has scored two half-centuries, and also 96 not out, which in total gave him a score of 247 runs. This 20-year-old was only dismissed twice with an average of 123.5 in this tournament. He also took eight wickets to stay strong in this tournament.

 

The tournament role out in such a way that  Kenya was very upset by Uganda on the very first day. Where Uganda scored 240 before Kenya got home with spare just three balls and then the addon on with the late three sixes from Ngoche.

 

The Input of the cricket was massive scores on super batting wickets and fine stroke play.

 

The Kenya Opener Alex Obanda and Dinesh Nakrani of Uganda scored centuries in the tournament. Dhiren Gondaria(90) and Ali Shah were close to them.

Eric Dusingizimana performed both roles and can be proud of the playing condition which he and his team produced over the duration of the 12 matches.

 

On the field of cricket, as they took on the powerful opposition and experienced, Rwanda themselves were given a tough task. For the future tournament, they would have taken many lessons and will come back with more improvement in their games.

 

With such fantastic match Kigali, Rwanda shows off capabilities and abilities to host future tournaments.
