It seems that hurricane of trouble started to engulf Australian Skipper Steve Smith after being involved in ball tampering during the 3rd test between Australia and South Africa. After being caught red-handed on the field with the yellow tape sticking on the red ball, Smith admitted his mistake and apologized in front of the whole world. But things started to get worse when even the veteran Australian Cricketers, in fact, the Prime minister condemned such unethical show on the field.

BCCI Still in the Dilemma
BCCI spoke person Shukla who is still waiting for the decision of ICC to take a further step in the case of Smith. Stepping down as a role of Captain of Rajasthan royal’s Smith being replaced by Ajinkya Rahane to lead the side.
Rajasthan Royals as a team who will be making its comeback after being banned for two years under Lodha committee rule is not in the mood to take any risk which could hamper their image took this decision. But the question is still hanging on the heads of BCCI whether they will opt for the ethical standard of the game to set the standard or they will go for balance sheet standard which could be affected if Smith will not be playing.
Rahane the Smart Choice
Rahane who played for Rajasthan Royals from 2011 to 2015 until the team got banned. A right-hand batsman who scored 2333 runs in 72 IPL matches is the smart choice by the management to relay on. In fact, earlier also Rahane expressed his gratitude towards the management and even place them as a family.

Moral Vs Money
From many decades the debate between morality and money being discussed or argued. In this case, BCCI needs to take some stern action to set an example about the dignity of the game Cricket. And if it takes on another side then things would deteriorate more and the whole game of IPL will be tagged as money making league with no care about the spirit of the game itself.

Ashish Nehra right now as bowling coach of RCB (Royal Challenger Bangalore) said “I don’t think they deserve such harsh punishments, whatever happened let’s forget and move forward instead. He (Smith) has admitted his mistake and also stepped down as captain of his national team. You can’t expect anything more than that,”.
