Super Over Rules, Scoring and Points

Rules version 1 · last updated 22 October 2026 (before launch)

A free game, not a money game

Super Over is a free game of skill for fun. There is no entry fee and no money involved. Points and badges have no monetary value, cannot be transferred, sold or exchanged for money, goods or anything else, and are not prizes. crix11 does not offer betting or fantasy games.

  • You never pay to play, to get another attempt or to get points.
  • There are no cash, voucher, recharge, coupon or other rewards.
  • Points can be adjusted or reset by crix11 and have no value if the game or your account closes.
  • No adverts are tied to the competition, and you never earn points by watching anything.

Who can join

Anyone can play Super Over without an account. To appear on the leaderboard you need a free game account, which you create by signing in with Google. You must be 18 or older to create an account. Under 18? Keep playing without an account. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we delete it; you can tell us at [email protected].

One account per person. Your nickname is the only thing other players see.

The ranked over

  • You get one ranked over per day (India Standard Time). The day changes at midnight IST.
  • Everyone faces the same six balls and the same target that day, at level Normal.
  • Once you start, the attempt counts. Leaving, closing or reloading the page counts as played.
  • Our server bowls each ball as it comes, so keep the tab open and online. Switching to another tab or app while the ball is in the air counts as no shot; a short connection drop is retried automatically.
  • Deleting your account does not give you another ranked over: the same Google account can only create a new game account from the next day (IST).
  • Finish within 20 minutes of starting.
  • Practice as much as you like in Daily challenge and Free play — practice is never ranked.

Scoring

The over ends when you reach the target, lose two wickets or face six balls. Your ranked score:

ResultScore
Target chased600 + 50 for each ball left + 10 for each run over the target (up to 5) − 40 for each wicket
Target not chased20 for each run − 40 for each wicket (never below 0)

Any chase beats any score that did not chase. Our server works out every score from your shots (your timing in milliseconds and the side you played) and checks each shot against the time the ball was bowled. Your device never sends a score.

Daily, weekly and monthly tables

TablePeriod (IST)Standing scoreTo be ranked for points
Dailyone daythat day’s ranked overa finished ranked over
WeeklyMonday–Sundayyour best 3 daily scores added upranked on at least 3 days
Monthlycalendar monthyour best 10 daily scores added upranked on at least 8 days

Ties: equal standing score is broken by timing accuracy (how close your shots were to perfect). If both are equal, players share the rank (1, 2, 2, 4) and each gets that rank’s points.

Final results: each day closes at 00:30 IST the next morning; a week closes with its Sunday and a month with its last day. Results are then final, except that a moderator may void an over within 7 days (or later, if the over was flagged and not yet reviewed), and the results are recalculated and marked “amended”.

Points (“crix points”)

EventPoints

Weekly: ranked on 5 or more days+10

  • Rank points are given only when enough players take part: at least 5 players in a day, 10 ranked players in a week and 20 in a month. Otherwise only the playing points are given.
  • The most you can earn is 35 points a day, 160 a week and 430 a month from the tables.
  • Practice, sharing, installing the app and signing up earn no points.
  • Voided, rejected or unfinished overs earn nothing.

Titles (from your total points): Net Bowler, Club (100), District (400), State (1,000), Zonal (2,500), National (5,000).

Badges: first ranked over, first chase, chase in 3 balls or fewer, 7-day and 30-day streaks, daily, weekly, monthly and tournament champion, weekly top 10. Champion and top-10 badges need the same minimum number of players as rank points.

Tournaments

From time to time crix11 runs named tournaments (for example over a festival week). A tournament uses the same daily ranked over — there are no extra attempts and no entry of any kind. Each tournament page shows its dates (whole IST days), how many of your best daily scores count, the minimum number of ranked days, and the points for each rank. Rank points are given only when at least the stated number of players take part (never fewer than 5), and one tournament gives at most 600 points to a player. Tournament results become final at 00:30 IST after the last day, and the same fair-play checks apply. Tournament points, like all crix points, have no monetary value.

Fair play

  • No scripts, bots, auto-clickers, modified game files or any automation. Play with your own taps.
  • Do not use more than one account, and do not share an account.
  • Our server checks every ranked over. Overs that look automated or impossible may be held for review, voided or rejected. A flagged top-3 result is held: it is not announced and earns no rank points or champion badge until a moderator has checked it. Points for it are added when it is cleared.
  • We may reset offensive or misleading nicknames, remove points and suspend accounts that break these rules. A suspended player can still sign in to download or delete their data; or email [email protected] to get or delete it.

Nicknames: 3–16 letters, numbers, underscores or spaces. No abuse, hate, sexual words, links, phone numbers, or names that pretend to be crix11, a cricket board or a real cricketer. You can change your nickname once every 30 days.

Your data

If you create a game account we keep your Google account ID (not your email, name or photo), the nickname you choose, your ranked overs and results, points and badges. Your nickname and scores are public on the leaderboards. Ranked shot timings and abuse-prevention signals (keyed hashes of your network and of a random ID kept in your browser) are deleted after 30 days, or after at most 60 days if an over is under fair-play review. Accounts not used for 24 months are deleted. Past final leaderboards keep a deleted player’s score as “Deleted player”. You can download or delete your account at any time on My account. More in our privacy policy; for privacy requests and complaints email [email protected].

We may update these rules. If we do, the version number above changes and we ask you to accept the new rules before your next ranked over.
